Receipt printers for your shop: 80mm thermal vs A4 invoices
· 4 min read · SHENZEE Tech
Customers expect a printed bill. The question is which printer and which paper.
80mm thermal receipt printers
The standard for counters. They print on a paper roll with heat, so there is no ink to replace. They are fast, quiet and cheap to run. Use 80mm rolls for most shops and 58mm for small handheld-style printers.
A4 invoices
Use A4 for business customers, large orders, credit sales and quotations. An A4 invoice has room for your logo, bank details, terms and a signature line.
What to look for when you buy
- USB connection, so it works with any PC.
- A driver for Windows 10 or 11.
- Auto-cutter, so each receipt tears off cleanly.
- Spare rolls available locally.
Set it once
Choose your default printer and paper in the software so the cashier presses one button. In Nexsora's Windows app, the print pop-up appears after a sale with your printer ready, and every bill can also be saved as a PDF.
